Daimh in (Dive in)

Feis-na-mara flyer

Earlier in the year I played bass on Daimh’s new album, Tuneship, which will be released in the UK in October. Known as the ‘gaelic supergroup’, Daimh are a fantastic five piece -“one of the most exhilerating bands on the celtic map” (Irish Times). Very occasionally, they go out as DaimhMOR (or ‘Daimh big band’ – the festival line up), with Eilidh Shaw on fiddle, Donald Hay on drums and myself on bass… and here it comes, one of the rare occasions to see the BIG line up, at Feis Na Mara, in October (see poster). In the meantime, here’s some great footage of the band and the places they comes from, featuring a gig at Celtic Connections 2013.
